Original one-sheet for Flesh and Bone
I always like to bring your attention to a classic that you might not have seen. This month sees the release in R1 of Steve Kloves’ 1993 Flesh and Bone, starring Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan (don’t let that put you off) in a moody story of revenge and tragedy set in rural Texas.
Quaid, in his best performance, is a handyman with a dark secret, Ryan is a stripper (don’t let that put you off), James Caan is Quaid’s father and Gwyneth Paltrow is a petty thief, and it all ends in tears.
Kloves only ever made two movies, this and The Fabulous Baker Boys, and despite this disk having no extras and dropping the fabulous original poster for a lousy cover, it’s nice to see it given almost the treatment it deserves at last.
